- AC & I are getting the show started for the 2012 Greeley Blues Jam!
The Batter Up is a new downtown bakery located on the lower level
below the DDA offices. We're playing in the courtyard out front. After
that there is mucic in a dozen(?) venues indoors & out, including an
outdoor main stage from 4 to 8pm. Maybe 10 indoor venues that go
as late as 1am. No Cover anywhere on the Friday part of the GBJ!

- SPAH is: The Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica.
This is the largest annual harmonica gathering in North America.
World class players from around the globe, playing every concievable style of music, including Classical, Celtic, Blues, Country, bluegrass, and more mingle freely with the hundreds of beginning and intermediate players who attend. There are shows & concerts, workshops, open stages, vendor areas... plus the legendary late night jam sessions. I highly recommend you stay at the host hotel where there is always an amazing array of 'unoffical' things going on throughout all 5 days & nights of the convention.
As stage manager I'll miss out on a lot of the wonderful daytime stuff, but I don't at all mind giving something back to this great community of musicians... Think about becoming a SPAH member if you play any type or style of harmonica!
